A New Library for the New Year

First of all, I would like to thank all of you who supported our book drive by contributing to our partners, Hands Across the Sea. With your help, we were able to raise enough funds to purchase 800 books and incorporate them into our library! The books came in shortly before the winter holiday.

A local partner in the community generously offered his time and energy to finish painting the bookshelves over the holiday break, and we are currently in the process of re-shelving all of the books.

The library seems to be in a state of flux in between semesters, we’ve been using that time on each occasion to overhaul a different aspect of the room!

To put things into perspective, take a look at this picture from October, 2010:

Again, I thank all of you out there who supported our book drive. Your contributions allowed for a vital part of this overhaul process to take place, and without you we wouldn’t have been able to make this happen!
